Skills Overview

Skills can be attached to each user and indicate the different types of work in which they are specialized. For example, if you are a designer you might add the skills "Photoshop", and "Illustrator" to your member profile. When adding a skill to your profile you can rate yourself on a scale of 1-5 stars to indicate your level of proficiency in the skill. Skills can be useful when you need to search for a person who has a certain skill at a particular skill level.

To add a skill click on your user icon in the upper right corner and select "Settings", then click on "Skills" on the left side of the page. Click on the "+ Skill" button to link a new skill to your member profile (as shown below). Make sure to select the star rating for each skill that you feel is appropriate for your level of proficiency in that particular skill. NOTE: the skill selector dropdown menu (shown as "Photoshop" in the screenshot below) allows you to select from pre-defined skills that have already been created. This list of skills can be created on the Admin/Skills page by anyone who has access to your Ravetree Admin page.
